About Me:
World famous vintage clothing dealer. I sell 1920s-80s dresses for the ladies!

I'm into all things old; movies, music, magazines, furniture and interior design, etc. etc. I loooove art deco, the atomic age, and 60s space age modern in particular.

I appreciate good design regardless of what era it's from though! I'm addicted to fashion magazines, and love many new designers.

Specialties: 1920s-1980s fashion, 30s-70s b-movies, 50s rockabilly, 60s garage and freakbeat, 60s yeye / french pop, 70s glam / glitter rock, 70s power pop, 80s - early 90s uk indie, early british punk, early psychobilly, film noir, french new wave, gialo, hawaiiana, makeup artistry, mod, pre-code film, sexploitation films, shopping!!!, silent film, stockings and lingerie, vintage clothing, vintage erotica, vintage footwear, vintage hairstyles, vintage horror movies, where to find the best deals
Specialty Details: My first crush was on silent film sensation Rudolph Valentino, at the tender age of 5. A year later I dressed as Shirley Temple for Halloween. In other words, my vintage obession started at an early age. A very early age! I grew up frequenting thrift stores; several of my relatives were antique collectors. By junior high, I was thrifting for outrageous vintage clothing. At the same time I realised I could resell this stuff to local shops for a profit. And so my journey as a vintage dealer began.... I've been in the vintage biz in one form of another for 13 years. It started with the 'picking' for resale shops, which lead to working at a few of these stores. Then one day I discovered the 'net, and have been running my own business since. Being your own boss is a labor of love and takes a lot of time and dedication, but it's well worth it, because it also enables me to surround myself with what I love and cultivate my interests - all of which are interconnected to my trade.

Personal Style:
Anything timeless, simple, well made, flattering, and chic. The women of early Fellini films, French new wave film, and giallos are iconic to me, I get a lot of inspiration from old movies.

My absolute favorite fashion era is the art deco 20s, but the original dresses are too fragile and scare to wear, imo. I love 60s mod dresses, especially ones that are a-line, well tailored, and color blocked. Viva la stewardess look! You can't go wrong pencil skirts with fitted blouses, nipped in waists, and flats. I think late 60s-early 70s high fashions are under appreciated. Faye Dunaway in the original Thomas Crown Affair - goddess! I love 60s psychedelia too, as well as the boho look. And those flirty disco dresses inspired by the 30s look great on just about any gal.

Favorite Colors:
red, pink, and black

Fashion Tips to Share:
Dr. Seuss said it best "Be who you are, and say what you feel. Because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."

Clothing should express YOU, not other peoples opinions!!! Fashion is what you wear, style is how you wear it. So wear what you like and wear it well.

And shop with EBay seller *knockout*clothing* for killer vintage! I just registered at Etsy too - seller ID knockoutclothing .

Designers on My Radar:
Vintage designers Elsa Schiaparelli, Sonia Delaunay, Rudi Gernreich, Erte', Paul Poiret, Pierre Cardin, Mary Quant, and Courreges. Late 60s - mid 70s Yves St. Laurent.

Vintage ready to wear labels like Alfred Shaheen, Kamehameha, Fred Perlberg, Lilli Diamond, Mode O' Day, Shannon Rodgers for Jerry Silverman, Suzy Perette, and Jeanne Booher.

Contemporary designers like Moschino, Ana Sui, Betsy Johnson, Imitation of Christ (by Tara Subkoff), and Dolce & Gabbana.

Independent designers like Rebecca Turbow, Supayana, MLEJean, and Shrinkle.

Of course. I absolutely adore some of the stuff you have up on ebay, especially the floral bouquet dress! But alas, I don't get paid until the end of the month. I commend you for your delicate taste. Keep it up, so I can buy from you when I actually have money. =]
